Car Based Phone Service v. Bluetooth
I don't know about anyone else but I'm a huge fan of the factory installed bluetooth software in new vehicles and I still can't figure out why GMC wants its customers to spend extra $ every month on a second mobile phone/GPS service when most mobile phones have bluetooth and some sort of GPS capability. I love what Nissan, Honda, and Toyota (Infinity, Acura, & Lexus) are doing with the bluetooth features they have available so all one has to do is link their mobile phone to the vehicle and bam you have hands free phone service in your car. Some of the services even automatically mute the stereo when a call comes and display the called id in the driver information window. When will the big three offer this same type of service?

Hard to say when the Big 3 will do anything that makes sense; the best vehicles they make are trucks/big SUV's.
I guess that's why our next vehicle will be an import like a Nissan or Toyota. Nissan introduces the Rogue soon with Bluetooth right up front. We're talking about a $25K SUV. It makes no sense, you are right!
